Refund policy

Change of Mind Returns

Topnotch Small Engines may accept change-of-mind returns under the following conditions:

Return requested within 7 days of purchase

  • Item is unused, unassembled and unfuelled
  • Returned in original packaging with manuals and accessories
  • Proof of purchase provided

Please note:

Outdoor power equipment that has been fuelled, assembled, started, or used cannot be returned for change of mind.

A restocking fee (10–20%) may apply.

Return freight is at the customer’s expense.

Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

All purchases are protected under Australian Consumer Law.

If your item:

  • Arrives damaged
  • Is faulty
  • Is not as described

You must notify the store within 48 hours of delivery (for freight damage).

Topnotch Small Engines will assess the issue and may offer:

  • Repair
  • Replacement
  • Refund (if deemed a major failure under ACL)

Photos and proof of purchase will be required.

Manufacturer warranties apply and vary by brand (Husqvarna, Victa, etc.).

Warranty Claims

Warranty claims must follow manufacturer guidelines.

  • Equipment may need to be returned to store for inspection.
  • Labour and parts coverage depend on brand policy.
  • Commercial use may reduce warranty coverage.

Non-Returnable Items

  • Fuel & oil products
  • Special order items
  • Clearance items (unless faulty)
  • Used or fuelled equipment
  • Spare parts incorrectly ordered
